The Descartes pixi WMS Connect app enables seamless integration between your Shopify® store and the Descartes pixi Warehouse Management System (WMS). This integration ensures real-time synchronization of inventory, orders, and fulfillment, improving operational efficiency and accuracy.
Installation and Setup
Install the app from the Shopify App Store
Go to the Shopify App Store.
Navigate to Apps > Descartes pixi WMS Connect.
Click Add app and follow the installation steps.
Note: After installation, configure the app using the Marketplace Connector Setup Guide. Complete all Shopify field mappings before proceeding to the API credentials.
Configure API Credentials
Go to Create New Integration.
Request your pixi API credentials, including the RabbitMQ® Vhost, from your pixi Account Management.
Enter your credentials into the app to establish the connection.
Map Data Fields (Shopify <> pixi)
Configure these settings and fields:
Catalog Sync: Set how often the product catalog should sync. Recommended interval: every 1 minute.
Add Product Features (if applicable).

Order Sync Settings:
Define sync frequency
Add ignore tags, order tags, customer identifier format, order line item format, and ship lock settings.
Map Sites/Locations: Match Shopify locations to pixi warehouse locations (ensure consistent naming).
Set Default Payment Type.
Map Shipping Methods: Create one-to-one mappings from Shopify shipping options to those expected by pixi.
Map Custom Fields for customers, orders, order line items, and products. See the Field Mapping Guide (coming soon).
Align SKUs: Shopify SKUs must match pixi article numbers to avoid sync issues.
Enable Alerts: Choose alert levels and enter email addresses for users who have access to both Shopify and pxi.
Test the Connection
Create a test order in Shopify and either push it manually or activate automatic syncing from Shopify > DMC > pixi.
Synchronization Processes
Inventory Sync
Real-time updates ensure inventory changes in pixi are reflected immediately in Shopify, helping to prevent overselling.
Order Sync
Orders placed in Shopify are automatically transferred to pixi for fulfillment.
Fulfillment Sync
When an order is fulfilled in pixi, its status and tracking information are updated in Shopify to keep customers informed.
Return Order Management
The integration supports bidirectional synchronization of return merchandise authorizations (RMAs). Returns can be initiated in either Shopify or pixi, and the system automatically keeps return statuses synchronized across all platforms. The integration tracks returns through their complete lifecycle including Created, Received, Replaced and Credited stages.
